Sometimes I have to pinch myself. Life is a dream.
Andy & Jemma both live and work in Norwich and have a true love for the great outdoors. They've visited the Lake District many, many times, and Andy proposed to Jemma in Keswick last year. After some consideration, they decided the trip was worth it (for the family and friends), and booked Armathwaite Hall for their wedding day. And boy am I glad they did.
It was amazing, from start to finish. They are so humble, down to earth and friendly. As were the families and guests. A joy to be around.
They thanked *me* (including in the speeches) for driving 'all that way' to tell the story of their wedding. I consider it a gift to be given the opportunity to cover a wedding, the thanks was all mine to give.
Thanks Andy, Jemma, and everyone on the day, for being part of such a wonderful story. I'll never forget it!

Jemma explores the 'hidden' spiral staircase accessible from her room. The view from the top is spectacular.

As Jemma prepares, guests begin to arrive at Armathwaite Hall

Beautiful music from the harp occupies Andy's mind as he waits in the ceremony room

With the rain being heavy, we go for a private walk around the hall

Until we decide the the rain is actually a blessing in disguise!

After the speeches and wedding breakfast (AKA lunch!), the rain finally stops

Back inside for a quick frame of snooker. The room was boiling hot, it wasn't long before we made a sharp exit outside again

We make the most of the dry spell for some bride and groom portraits in the beautiful grounds of Armathwaite Hall

The first dance beckons, so we head over to the evening room, complete with it's own outdoor decking area with flame heaters

Andy enjoys the bean bags while Jemma and I scoot off for some bridal portraits

John Penn was absolutely amazing. Seriously. Amazing.

As the adults dance, the young lads are being, well, lads!

Rocked it. Totally.

Andy (inside) looks out on his new wife (outside), while I nip off and have fun creating light orbs!

I can't put into words how special this wedding at Armathwaite Hall was. Thank you Andy and Jemma, for giving me the chance to be part of it. Much love.
